Kanye West Hints at New Tour, Talks Taylor Swift & Britney Spears
Kanye West is feeling The Force. The superstar rapper is so confident his tour in support of The Life of Pablo will be a blockbuster, he’s identified Star Wars as a point of reference.
Speaking on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, West revealed his next trek is taking shape. And it’ll be epic. “You know, my tour game is strong,” he told the host. “We’re going to go out in September, I believe. We’re just working on some of the ideas right now. I’m trying to literally inspire these kids the way Disney inspired me. The way, when I first saw the original Star Wars, it’s that conversation.”
The “living breathing changing creative expression” that is The Life of Pablo hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month, becoming Kanye’s seventh album to do so.

In
his 20-minute chat with Harvey, Kanye talked about how the
collaborative opening track “Ultralight Beam” came about (“we were just
blessed to be in the room at the right time when the 'Ultralight Beam,'
it just came through us”), his love of fashion, and his dislike for
critics. “You’ve got critics, and then you’ve got artists,” he said.
“I’d kick a critic out the studio. I didn’t read one review of my
fashion show, I didn’t read one review on the Life of Pablo.” The only
reviews he cares for are those from the fans. The hip-hop artist was typically energetic as his thoughts bounced from his source of inspiration (“dreams and purpose”), his parents (a year spent in China with his mom apparently helped him develop and reach his potential) and becoming a parent himself.
"I really want to really stress the amount of respect that I have for parents. And that there is no concept of anyone beating up on someone else's child or that type of concept," said West, in what will be interpreted as another apology for engaging in a Twitter row with his ex Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa and the child the pair share. "So every day I actually feel more deeply, deeply, deeply apologetic about that concept, because I only want to put out positive, positive, positive concepts."
